who we are
Mise en Paws is a recipe and meal planning platform operated by Botic Ventures LLC, a Florida limited liability company. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, you may contact us at ajla@boticventures.com.
information we collect
We collect the following categories of information when you use our platform:
- Account information: your email address and an encrypted password when you register for an account.
- Profile data: display name, household size, zip code, dietary restrictions, preferred cuisines, kitchen equipment, measurement preferences, and weekly budget settings you provide in your profile.
- User generated content: meal plans, saved recipes, AI generated recipes, pantry items, grocery lists, event plans, cooking timelines, mood board images, dietary preferences, personal recipes, and family recipes you create or upload.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device information, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, cookies, and session data collected automatically when you use the platform.
- Google OAuth data: if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Payment information: payment card and billing details are collected and processed securely through Stripe, our third party payment processor. Botic Ventures LLC does not store raw payment card numbers, CVV codes, or full card data on its servers.
how we use your information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing, maintaining, and personalizing the Mise en Paws platform and its features.
- Processing payments, managing subscriptions, and administering free trials through Stripe.
- Sending transactional emails, including account confirmations, password resets, subscription receipts, and service notifications.
- Improving the platform, analyzing usage patterns, and developing new features.
- Responding to your support requests and communications.
- Complying with applicable legal obligations, including tax reporting and fraud prevention.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party for any purpose.
legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the following legal bases as applicable:
- Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the services you have requested, including account creation, meal planning, recipe generation, and subscription management.
- Legitimate interests: processing necessary for our legitimate business interests, including platform improvement, security, and fraud prevention, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: processing based on your affirmative consent, such as optional marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal compliance: processing necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.
data sharing and third parties
We share data with the following third party service providers solely to operate and deliver the platform:
- Supabase (US based): database hosting, user authentication, and file storage. Supabase Privacy Policy

- Google OAuth (Google LLC): authentication when users choose to sign in with Google. Google Privacy Policy
- Anthropic (US based): AI recipe generation, ingredient parsing, pantry scanning, and cooking plan creation via API. Anthropic Privacy Policy
- Stripe (US based): payment processing and subscription billing. Stripe Privacy Policy
Each third party processor is bound by its own privacy policy and applicable data processing agreements. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
do not sell my personal information
Botic Ventures LLC does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. This applies to all users including California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide you with our services. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time. Upon receipt of a verified deletion request, we will remove your personal data within 30 calendar days, except where retention is required by applicable law. Payment records and transaction history may be retained for up to seven years to comply with financial recordkeeping and tax regulations.
cookies and tracking
We use essential session cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and platform functionality. These cookies allow you to remain signed in and maintain your session as you navigate the platform. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third party ad network technologies. We do not serve targeted advertising. You may control cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent certain features of the platform from functioning properly.
your privacy rights
You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- Right to access: you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to correction: you may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to deletion: you may request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Right to data portability: you may request a machine readable copy of your data where technically feasible.
- Right to opt out: you may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.

California residents: under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have additional rights including the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, the right to request deletion of your personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. children's privacy
The Mise en Paws platform is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 13 has provided personal information to us or created an account, please contact us immediately at ajla@boticventures.com. We will promptly investigate and delete any such information from our systems.
data security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission using HTTPS and TLS protocols, encrypted password storage using industry standard hashing algorithms, role based access controls limiting employee access to personal data, and regular security reviews of our infrastructure and code. While we take data security seriously and strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
email communications
We may send you transactional emails related to your account such as password resets and billing confirmations. If we send promotional or marketing emails in the future, every email will include a one-click unsubscribe link in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking unsubscribe or emailing ajla@boticventures.com.
data breach notification
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, Botic Ventures LLC will notify affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, to the extent required by applicable law. Notification will be sent to the email address associated with your account. We will include in our notification a description of what happened, what information was involved, and what steps we are taking to address the breach.
analytics and future services
We may in the future use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the platform. If we do, we will update this privacy policy to reflect that use and any additional data collected. Any analytics tools we use will be disclosed here before being activated.
international users
Mise en Paws is operated from the United States and our data is stored on servers located in the United States. If you are accessing the platform from outside the United States, please be aware that your personal data will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. By using the platform, you consent to the transfer and processing of your personal data in the United States in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
